HMRC API Connection

VAT Poster Pro UK connects to HMRC's Making Tax Digital API using OAuth 2.0 authorisation. When you sign in with your Government Gateway credentials, you authenticate directly with HMRC — your credentials are never seen, stored, or transmitted by Key Network Services Ltd. The app receives only a temporary access token from HMRC to retrieve and submit your VAT data on your behalf.

How We Store and Protect Data

All VAT-related data remains on your device and, if enabled, is backed up to your iCloud account. Key Network Services Ltd does not keep copies of your VAT records.

Crash data is handled securely and used only for app improvement.

All communication with HMRC is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.2 or higher security.

All servers operated by Key Network Services Ltd are located in the United Kingdom.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Request access, correction, or deletion of your data
Restrict or object to processing
Request data portability
